@jack Would you consider yourself a "generative" artist? (nevermind the whole "generative" AI hype)

And if so, do you know of any good introductory articles or books to what "generative" art even is?

I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding articles on generative art! Even if I search for Sol Lewitt, I find surprisingly little on generative art?

Yet it's a pretty active space, right?

Here, a development environment that installs

Playwright

Chrome, firefox and a generic webkit browser

And sets it up correctly, in an isolated environment? With a nice "hey, this is how you use this development environment" comment as a cherry on top?

The entire Nix file is 46 lines of code. Most of it boilerplate.

I love Nix so much, because you can just super easily contain an entire development environment in one file. This stuff is genuinely

More flexible than docker

We're getting somewhere!

But what I really want to do is add runtime scriptable side-effects per character of the alphabet. So if you want to run some custom logic, you can...

It's trivial to implement the question is just how to make it look nice in UX whaha.

I don't really like resorting to bureaucratic forms for something that is essentially symbolic math and art :(
