here is a hot take: don't promote your political or ideological ideas in your free/open source software project's readme or documentation, especially if those ideas are not related to the free/open source software movement

i don't want to mention any project specifically but i hate seeing shit like "this project doesn't support [insert controversial stuff]" or "StandWith[insert country name]" - i am just trying to figure out how to use your fucking software, stop trying to shove your political ideas down my throat
