Glad to say after 3 days of struggling I've been able to get up https://Fedicate.org my website for a fediverse database along with information that I will expand on over time.

Give me feedback as well as use the cyrptpad forms on the site to suggest new information including FediBlock reports to the site.

A huge work in progress but slowly getting a site together. Hopefully I can make it a helpful resource for admins, users and people just getting into the fediverse.

A few months back I got given this dress. I'm certainly going to have to think about wearing it for whatever I end up doing for my birthday Monday (2 days time).

Might also have to use it in the future with some of the things I might want to get back into / into to earn money.

Do you think in the future people will use multiple fediverse accounts like they currently do on centralised social media or will they most likely have one account and rather use different 'skins' to view the fediverse for certain posts or just use the same layout for everything?

For anyone asking about why I use the Fediverse over Bluesky.

I use the Fediverse because of a few reasons;

1. The people and software are more customizable and can be self hosted.

2. Bluesky was originally the idea of making Twitter more decentralized but turned into it's own project after lots of money from big tech (and is still getting lots of money put into it)

3. AT Protocol vs ActivityPub Protocol. Personally I don't really care either way but when ActivityPub is built as a standard by the same organization for HTML & CSS then yeah ActivityPub it is.

4. The usernames, The usernames on Bluesky is cool till you think oh, I have a few people that I want using the same Instance / domain making you have to make new subdomains for the usernames, Just go with the email like layout Fedi software has, it's simple and it just like email.

5. Instances, The fediverse allows anyone to set up there own server with whatever Fediverse software and still connect with others. Bluesky is one software and most people are on one instance making it another centralized platform that just wants to look decentralized.

6. Ownership of followers, due to point number 5 if you get banned or want to move away from Bluesky you can't. With the Fediverse you own your following allowing you to move your followers to your own instance or just another one if you wanted a change.

Even with all of this I still cross-post my posts via @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy as it gives me no disadvantage.

META is now launching a new app to replace CapCut as it got banned due to being a TikTok app, seems like META have been planing for a while. DO NOT download ‘Edits’ when it launches. META is not to be trusted with them advocating and pushing for the TikTok Ban, change of rules and past with data collection (including much worse things than TikTok was being accused of and didn’t do)

Added both of the converters to the Fediverse Services section on https://vex.blue along with a video embed of a video explaining what the Fediverse is... There's got to be more that I can do to explain what the Fediverse is along with giving people the tools & support they need.

I need to explain and pretty up the Hosting & Tweaks sections in the future as currently they are shockingly bad but progress is getting there, Any feedback is helpful.

So I love using my Sharkey instance but the problem is there’s not many user friendly apps for us to use with it, I started learning react for my website a few months back but I don’t think it’s going to be enough for react native and learning how to connect to things via apis and stuff… it’s a stage I want to get to but who knows if I can learn that much…
