Well, if the weather is going to be insane, two can play at the game. It was 18°C in Geneva today, so I went for a ride up into the mountains. This is probably just over 1000m. Ridiculous for this time of year.

It's important in times like this to call people by their correct names and make them own what they are doing or saying, rather then joke names or changing letters numbers or symbols to avoid the pain of seeing what you type. That doesn't really work for anyone.
It also helps people to mute them, which is also just a nice gesture.

I've been having so much fun that I forgot to show off my new toy. I've been looking for a passive fender jazz for a while but I'd never met one I wanted to take home. That has now changed. Picked up this 97 American Standard over the break. Pretty good condition and plays like a dream.

Was in a bit of a rut yesterday, so instead of starting Sunday with some chill music, I went straight to The Mars Volta. De-Loused In The Comatorium is one of my favourite albums of all time. I feel much better now. And so do the neighbours, I assume 😉. Probably classify this as modern prog, but really on the heavy side. Monster line up with guys from At the Drive-in, with Flea on bass for this album I believe - but not like you've heard him in RHCP.

Just wrapping up what's been a busy 2 week "break". With all the regular festivities + 2 birthdays in the mix, I only got a few days at the end here to relax and try and do a few things. Nonetheless, time well spent. Looking forward to trying to have a good year despite the insanity of the world at the moment.
