[#]Blog post: Sending Memes Using Radio 📻
If there's one thing Instagram is good for, it is ideas. So now, I have a good excuse to write on sending images through FM Radio via SSTV :D
It is surprisingly easy, fun and cheap to do. I recommend you to try it out for yourself. You may end up with a new wireless speaker! Had a lot of fun writing this.

The unfortunate costs of trying to buy #linux official merch (screenshotted is #hellotux . Almost all of them are located in Europe 😭 .
Probably going to print my own shirt and donate directly. I'm a little tired of doing that thing where you must make people know that you use Linux by word-of-mouth XD.

[#]Blog post: Cleaning My Gallery with a Sponge
New year, new me. I'm back with a vengeance on my past self.
Here's a nice and short post on Sponge, an Android gallery cleaner that I've been infatuated with recently. It also marks my return to #100DaysToOffload as part of my Bucket List for 2025. Fossbros ain't gonna like this one 🔥!
Also available in #BahasaMelayu for those from #malaysia 🇲🇾.

The Blog Post Time Composition:
20% writing
30% proofreading, little changes, optimizing images
50% making a goofy ahh low-effort article image
and don't forget the 200% finding the time and energy to write a post cuz my uni loves to keep us all in the trenches with coursework that makes half of the module's grade.

We are so back with this one gang. My browser is one step closer to being part of the 'kool kids group' HAHA.
I missed vertical tabs so much since I switched from Vivaldi a few years ago.

@kde There are a few bugs, such as capital letters not registering, discovery not being as robust as it could be and the lack of a USB-mode to reduce the very noticable latency.
But, it works and that's all I need.

[#]kdeconnect is a lifesaver.
My A key popped off my laptop keyboard, so while I'm waiting for the replacement part, I'm using my external keyboard. Today, I forgot to bring the USB dongle for the keyboard.
Not only can I remotely control my mouse but I can also use my android keyboard (#unexpectedkeyboard), making my life and studies so much easier.
Alhamdullilah, thank you @kde and the community for creating such a great app.

I am so excited with the new developments between Firefox and Google Research on a #Rust #JPEG_XL implementation.
I really hope from here we can start to encourage programs that save to JPEG by default to switch to JPEG_XL, and also to enable JPEG_XL support to more programs.

I am not an SE (yet) but I believe that the Rust for Linux problem needs to be addressed ASAP and in a proper, professional fashion.
Many people that I've seen are hating on Rust are not looking at it through a more technical lens, are very toxic about it and are refusing listen.
This is detrimental to Rust's future in Linux, whose significant success in other fronts (e.g Asahi Linux), and acceptance into the kernel by Linus himself, make it impossible to ignore and reject.

Hot Take:
Widescreen View should be the default view.
It looks much nicer and assigns more screen space to the element that matters the most: the article itself.

Currently exploring Akregator right now and I really like how I can customize everything (as per KDE style). With this I can eventually remove the menubar and have a cleaner interface closer to NewsFlash :3

After the GitHub debacle, it's now #codeberg being down. Why am I not angry though?
Because Codeberg is run by a non-profit and you can't seriously expect such an amazing service provided free with no corpo-strings-attached to have 100% uptime.
Thank you @Codeberg and keep up the insanely good work!
I implore anyone reading to donate to Codeberg e.V, and if you can, self-host with Forgejo!
