I am done with Signal.

1. You locked my account for 7 days because of some error during account transfer from my old phone to a new phone. This cut me off from my family, instantly. Repeated assistance requests from tech support were ignored.

2. US Cyber Security agency recommends it.

3. Centralised, with obvious algorithmic account 'kill switch'.

I'm a GrapheneOS/Pixel 8a user and, so far, I'm happy to have switched from iOS.

However, tonight I scavenged my daughter's old'ish Samsung S9 from her desk and have decided to custom build a Lineage OS install for it.

Looks doable with my setup and perceived abilities. We'll see how clever I really am I guess...

Wish me luck, and any tips gratefully accepted.

Has anyone setup a SIP IP PBX Homelab system?
