I saw some movies over the break and after years and years of logging to letterboxd, I just….didn’t this time. And maybe I won’t?

I’m not sure why. I’ve just journaled about them instead.

The Superman trailer is a lot to process! It shows too much, but also…I appreciate getting my expectations in check on the camp.

Showing a bleeding Superman: “Ugh, do we need another gritty adaptation?”

And then immediately followed by Krypto in a cape: “Ooooooohhhhh…..”

My partner has been looking to start a blog but didn't want to use markdown. (Don't @ me, I am a believer.)

She liked minimal, though. So I've been looking for the most minimal platform that provided a good-enough editor.

And so @goodenoughllc's Pika fit the bill pretty well!

She's three posts in and so far, so good.

Just successfully reverse engineered some tricky JWT auth to get it working in #Playwright tests and no one will ever appreciate it, but it’s so slick. It’s ugly, but all the ugliness is hidden in a test fixture.

I accidentally turned my work email off on my phone a couple of weeks ago…

And then…didn’t turn it back on.

It’s been nice. We’ll see how long I can go before it causes a problem. Hopefully forever!

@orta My crossword puzzle club leader board is weekly plonks….and oh boy….no other metric is more important to me now.

Managed 21 on your puzzle, at the expense of time and score.

But gotta keep that weekly plonk number up! 📈

One of the things that has bummed me out for years is “losing time” on the weekends, which is mostly about lacking intentionality.

I’ve been building the habit of starting a note Friday morning with a brain dump of all the things I could do this weekend.

Then, over the day, I pare it down to roughly block out the weekend.

And when Saturday morning rolls around I just follow the plan. No decisions to make and no stressing about if I’m doing the “right” thing.
