Really hate that we’re in this position where a relatively not terrible outcome (temporary suspension of Trump’s maniacal, destructive tariffs) means letting Trump declare a ”victory” he didn’t actually get. Which gives him more power.

From the reports I've read, the USAID people were following the law, preventing DOGE from viewing classified material they didn't have clearance to see.
Musk calling this criminal" means that Musk thinks the law is what he says it is.

Threats aside, Vance is also just full of shit. The U.S. seized 19kg of fentanyl at the Canadian border last year, or 0.19 percent of the total fentanyl seized.
Meanwhile, in 2023, Canada seized 27,000 prohibited weapons at the border. The U.S. seized 459 weapons coming from Canada.

Update: The Flynn list is apparently from publicly available information. My mistake. Musk's access is still a problem. As is his claim to be unilaterally stopping Treasury payments. As is his public chumminess with Flynn, a foreign asset and QAnon conspiracist.

Just a reminder that Musk couldn’t get a top level security clearance. And he was under investigation for violating the terms of the clearance he did have. Now he has your Social Security number, your tax returns, and is unilaterally deciding who the government does and does not pay.
