Back from the road.

Almost everything done on the list aside two things, one because the owner of the dry-cleaner went into retirement and the second because they were already closed.

Plus one extra at the laundry cleaner as I helped a couple of seniors with their "advertisement" issues on their mobile phone.

Installed fdroid, intstalled firefox with web firewall, simple as.

Despite the different nature of software optimization then vs. now, it boils down to a similar amount of fundamentally misunderstanding how the hardware actually functions that led to most of the N64 library having lackluster performance.

Modern apps are written like a labyrinth, and the CPU is given the unreasonable task of translating the map from a foreign language and solving the labyrinth as quickly as possible. This is often why modern software is ~1000x slower than it could be."
