I was trying today to think when the radio bug bit. Its a lot of years ago, too many lol.

Let me take a trip back....

1978 I got my first radio licence, Class B (UK) and became a 2meter band user.

Which means that I studied the RAE from 1977.

But the interest started at a computing and I assume radio rally in Manchester. How ?

Well my friend from college was building an 8 bit computer featured in ETI magazine.

I went along out of sheer curiosity and discovered ham radio
