Listening to my own music collection "algorithm-free" (well there is an algorithm in Amarok: Random, avoid playing the same song too often) is really something. Shit that sounds really nice, that I haven't heard in a while, that I wouldn't even remember to queue in a "service" and that a commercial algorithm likely wouldn't ever suggest. This came to mind because the last three examples played by the Amarok algorithm were:

• Cradle of Filth - Prey

• Xerath - Nuclear Self Eradication

• Labyrinth - New Horizons

And these all fit the description.
