not as complex and usable as sideberry but it's pretty good!

No way to unload a tab currently, or know if it has been unloaded

That Noel Fielding has had to bin off his comedy series is super worrying. I hole he can recover in time for Bake-Off.

Quite enjoy Noel's work

my garden is full of house sparrows, seriously contemplating getting a sparrow terrace for them

Though there is an excellent DIY guide that would be cheaper except I'd need to buy a good saw...

Just had a thought. I think this tech will be used to access online content.

Need proof of age, pings your Gov.UK app and then entry or not is granted.

I also hope it doesn't rely on some Google proprietary BS to work.

But then, why would a sovereign nation not contract out security to a surveillance capitalist behemoth stationed in a country with sketchy governance?

I already deal with the phone payments and oh my god is it tedious waiting for people to finally get Apple Pay or Google Pay to actually work.

Folk with normal cards, tap-to-pay and done. Even folk who need to sign when they use their cards are quicker.

I can't imagine the delay when the phone kills Gov.UK app and then you need to log in again before going back to Google Pay, which has also been killed because Android and its software is super-bloated, and wait for log in process, find that one card, again, and finally pay for something.

If this rolls out this year, I am not looking forward to it.

Apparently folk in Denmark, Australia, Norway and Iceland already utilise this.

Wonder if it's more of a hinderance or not, to them :sloth_think:

Not so sure that 'Digital Driving Licences' are a good thing, neither will they make anything easier. IMO.

Nothing difficult about carrying around a card in a wallet.

Made the error of reading the comments on an article about Gàidhlig, crumbs what a sad lot. Why they must put down a history and culture at all costs is beyond me.

They don't see how unappealling it makes their alternative.

there is very little more boring in a film than a gun fight 🥱

There are sometimes good gun fights, really tense scenes developed over a long time but moat are boring
