Well, now I'm arguing with it about the difference between a person who is "asocial" versus "antisocial."

Nice, I got an abliterated DeepSeek R1 8B distilled model running on my M3 Pro MacBook. Sure, it's not blazingly fast, but it's still something amazing. Next is getting a smaller R1 model to run on my phone.

Moved over to my OpenWrt router today. It was not a painless process, but I figured all but a handful of issues. The worst was the DHCP/DNS problems, but it would seem that I resolved them.

I'm slowly learning the Aerospace tiling window manager for macOS. I really like it so far, though I really need to dig into the config file.

Well, I just found out about the Pine64 PineNote and now I really want one. It doesn't appear to be a viable Kobo replacement for me just yet, but since I read all of my books from my Calibre server, this (or something like it) could be an alternative.

(Luckily, changing my Kobo Libra 2's sync target is really easy. And it's nice that Kobo is slightly better than Amazon.)

"You know me, you know me all too well. My only desire: to bridge our division. In sorrow I speak your name and my voice mirrors, mirrors my torment.

Seek me for comfort, call me for solace.

I'll be waiting for the end of my broken heart. Seek me, completion. Call me. I'll be waiting. I'll be waiting for the end of my broken heart."

Every day, I remember how much I love my modded iPod Classic. What a gem. Just a simple DAP with no online capabilities, no Bluetooth, no distractions. Just a big battery, tons of storage, and nice sound quality with my IEMs.

My wife thinks that option two is also the smarter choice. Her question was, why split my gaming between the Linux host and the Windows guest (even if the latter is just for Skyrim)? Good food for thought, so I guess it's time to wipe my gaming rig one more time.

And yes, I will be using a single GPU passthrough setup. Since I have an AMD card, it seems to be pretty easy based on my research.

So, I am deciding between two VFIO virtual machine gaming options.

The first is leaving my Nobara system as-is, but installing Windows as a guest, pass my GPU to it, pass a spare SATA SSD to it, and just use the VM to play ultra-modded Skyrim.

The second option is nuke everything, install Arch, and pass through most of my 4TB NVMe, the SATA SSD, and my GPU to Windows for all of my games.

Despite the work involved in the latter, it's what I'm leaning toward.

Going to try out Aerospace, a tiling window manager for macOS. As I've gotten used to Hyprland on my ThinkPad, I've come to see the light. Tiling WMs are great.

I started 1000xResist today and I'm already hooked. The storytelling is quite interesting and I love how vague the plot is so far.

"Just because your mind tells you that something is awful or evil or unplanned or otherwise negative doesn't mean you have to agree. Just because other people say that something is hopeless or crazy or broken to pieces doesn't mean it is. We decide what story to tell ourselves. Or whether we will tell one at all."

So Pengi -- my female cat who's a total sweetheart and the queen of the house -- has spent most of the past days since the kitten arrived sitting outside the door to the room where the kitten is staying. She's so curious, no hissing or growling.

She's going to be a good #cat mom, I think.

I'm giving Swiftkey a try on my iPhone. The stock keyboard absolutely infuriates me. Slow, ridiculously stupid predictions, inconsistent swipe performance, and horribly sluggish since iOS 18.
