It's sad to see websites that had formerly great news coverage move to obviously AI-generated articles. I have no problem with AI assisting in grammar, polishing, etc, and I'm not an overall AI hater. but you can tell it's 90% of the article when every one ends with a toast to progress, or leads with a game-changing development.

Is there anyone that wants a braille Lutheran Worship hymnal? I don't believe churches use this much anymore. It's in used and well-worn condition. Otherwise I'll recycle.

And that's all. A few fun things in that pile, now the disks can go to the trash since I have the files. Apparently a company in California recycles them but only if you pay to send them. Sure if you have sensitive files I can see that.

Time to clean out demo, used, or otherwise not needed stuff. Starting with my barely used BTSpeak. I think it's a cool concept, I've just not had the time to give it love. Asking $975 for the pro model. If you're looking for random new or old tech, just let me know. I may just have it :) Everything from old Nokia phones to more recent headsets. Then things that I have no idea what to do with, like a bunch of Blindshell Classic 1's. Anyone wanna try to make them into something else?

Balatro won Best Indie Game at the Game Awards. So well-deserved for such an addictive card game, which also happens to have an accessibility mod to play it with a screen reader on Steam.

Discord settings say the classic chat takes away most features but may work better for screen reader users. How about instead, fix the chat everyone else is using so it is just as accessible.

Yes it's true that shoppers sending pictures for substitutions is not accessible on its own. But being able to have AI quickly look at the picture is much quicker than the whole back and forth of explaining that text is better, and waiting for them to type that text out. Sometimes we can make our best accessibility faster than others.
