Nel libro sì parla anche di un sistema scientifico per stabilire le aliquote fiscali. Siccome il valore del denaro non è assoluto, ma dipenda da quanto uno me ha - la stessa somma vale meno per chi ne ha molto - potremmo stabilire che il valore del denaro decresca in maniera logaritmica. Raddoppiare le aliquote al raddoppiare del capitale, in modo di quadruplicare la tassazione (come secondo la proposta di Bernoulli)

Ho appena letto "La democrazia non esiste" di Odifreddi. È dimostrato che la democrazia è impossibile logicamente, matematicamente e praticamente. Non siamo nel campo delle opinioni. Il voto utile non è una buona opzione, come dimostra il teorema di Arrow. In pratica. Hillary Clinton vinse su Sanders. Donald Trump vinse su Clinton. Ma Sanders avrebbe vinto su Trump. Ho detto spesso che l'unico politico votabile è quello che non si candida e Odifreddi lo dimostra logicamente. Ho detto spesso che non votare potrebbe essere spesso l'opzione migliore. In realtà il sistema è viziato, pur accettando i limiti di impossibilità, avrebbe senso che ai non voti corrispondessero seggi vuoti e mi fa piacere scoprire che la matematica conferma questa idea. L'anarchia non ha problemi nel garantire gli obiettivi che si prefigge, il problema è la sua vulnerabilità rispetto alla tendenza di alcune gruppi di persone ad aggregarsi per imporre il dominio. Sì tratterebbe di vigilare costantemente per impedirlo. Che è esattamente quello che rinunciamo a fare anche quando votiamo. L'unico potere che abbiamo, votando, è quello di perderlo.
