Yesterday I suddenly spent 7 hours writing a guide:

"The #Terminal – For Noobs (Like Me)"

As the title suggests, I'm no expert – but I've started to like the terminal. And if you find it a bit daunting, it might be useful to have a guide written by someone for whom it isn't second nature.

Spent 6 hours trying to get #Miniflux to work on my Mac mini yesterday – until I used up all of my Claude quota on Raycast… (Got it to work locally – but I want to be able to access it outside as well.)

Any advice out there for a way to run #RSS feeds from my Mac "server"?

Feedbin renews on January 10th. 🙈 ('Cause it's totally worth it to save a tiny but to host it myself, right??)

The idea of #MKBHD's new app, #Panels, is OK – but I have four problems with it. And the biggest is the slap-in-the-face split with artists!

Er det noen folk og emneknagger dere anbefaler at hun følger? (Det går også an å pre-følge henne, på @kristine! Men ikke sikkert det skjer noe der. ☺️)

Er særlig interessert i tips og erfaringer fra folk som ikke er nerde-menn som meg. Hva skal til for å få glede av denne platformen? 🙂 (Har ikke tenkt Pixelfed foreløpig.) Særlig når hun foretrekker norsk innhold. Fremhevninger settes også pris på.

Hei, #Allheimen! Kona er en blanding av lei og avhengig av Insta, så jeg prøver å finne ut av om hun kan få noe glede ut av Mastodon. Lærer i begynnelsen av tredveåra, blant anna Interessert i bøker, idrett (fotball++), fransk, tur, papiravis og kaffi.

Jeg vet at hun er mest vant til å konsumere. Og jeg vet jo at det er mye mindre (særlig norsk og særlig video-) innhold her. Men kanskje et koselig lite fellesskap er noe som kan gjøre det aktuelt å delta litt mer også?

One of my favourite @MonaApp features, is the option of having avatars "inline" - as I otherwise find the left-margin way too large for my Mini phone. But the downside is that all text doesn't have the same starting point.

Have you considered having an option for having the avatars "trailing", like in the new Reeder?

I have a feeling it can become like another favourite of mine: Reverse timeline. Unfamiliar at first - but then you get that that's how it always should've been.
