Diese Instanz lief übrigens bis gestern Abend noch mit #caddy, aber weil ich auf #mastodon auf #S3 Storage umgestellt habe, jetzt wieder mit nginx.

Das Gefummel mit caddy Plugins für nen Proxy Cache wollte ich mir dann doch nicht antun.

Dafür läuft's jetzt nach 2 kleinen Problemchen ziemlich gut.

Mal sehen, wie zuverlässig das langfristig ist.

I'll have to find another spot though. Out in the fields with not much space for a car and all the muddy, whet ground isn't exactly the place to get a tripod set up.

Also, not having enough space to steadily place the tripod at a good height (and increasing the distance of the legs/feet) makes for some awkward yoga poses when trying to look through the finder scope 😂

Last but not least:

Went out to get some first real imaging time with my new #StarAdventurer mount tonight.

Knocked over the tripod twice while polar aligning.

Forgot the finder scope illuminator at home, couldn't see anything.

Tried illuminating with my head lamp, somehow succeeded.

Had my phone fall in the mud while searching #pleiades, dropped the lens cap when I wanted to put it in my pocket.

When my head lamp fell into the mud I gave up and went back home.

[#]astrophotography is a great hobby.. 😅

Anyone here using an #iPad mini as an #eReader?

I'm thinking about buying an iPad mainly as a reference device for work with some clients.

Being able to comfortably read a book every once in a while would be nice, but I'd rather have a smaller device for that.

So if there are no big no-no's I'd probably get the mini just to not have to buy a dedicated reader that is not used 90% of the time, since I'll have to get an iPad any way 🤷🏼‍♂️

Happy to hear your thoughts on it.

Ah yes, the #python 3.10.16-alpine3.21 image ships with python 3.10.16, but the alpine package manager ships uwsgi-python3 built with python3.12.8, which does not use the 3.10 site-packages directory for obvious reasons.
