I have conflicting feelings about the episode. They put little effort to convince me why they would want to stay! They were given the option they had begged for!

Having said that, I think it’s realistic to want to stay. It’s part of the contradicting human nature. Who would choose to die? But but, is it dying? The “reintegration” is supposed to merge back the innie & outie, including their memories etc.

Argh, they could’ve presented those feelings better!

It's easy to say "X improved the economy", but how do you actually prove that? Given how easy it's to say things that reach millions of people and look very credible today, even well educated people struggle to decide what to believe.

We really need a trusted, independent and objective entity to track the performance of a president while taking into account the delay factor (e.g. this economy is good because X years ago). Something no one can argue with. Do we have such a thing?

I'm very confused about this. My understanding is that isolation is deterministic, unlike the lack of isolation (a.k.a. nonisolated) which is indeed not for sync functions. Otherwise, everything should be broken today. Can you elaborate more why do you think this is not the case?

My worry with the “Swift 5 is not going anywhere” argument is that many upcoming features will be soon available on Swift 6 exclusively and most developers will be forced to immaturely upgrade just to have access to them. I just found out that Typed Throws is only available on 6 for some reason and I am both frustrated and pissed! 😔
