Hi #selfhosting friends,
I'm currently using #wallabag for managing my bookmarks, but it really misses the ability to subscribe to RSS/atom feeds. #omnivore used to have this.
I don't want to host two separate platforms for such trivial task.
I'm not sure if #linkwarden supports this?
Any suggestions?

خب دوستان این هم از آموزش تنظیم و کانفیگ Neovim.
به عنوان اولین ویدیویی که بصورت عمومی منتشر کردم بنظرم خوب شد.
امیدوارم مفید باشه، اگر نظری، سوالی و پیشنهادی داشتین حتما بگین.

How can I specify in mastadon that I only want to see posts with specific languages? (Only see posts on English and Persian for example)

Hey #opensource community!
I know it's fun to get lots of stars on github and it seems good for your portfolio to have them on your github page, but please consider putting your new foss projects on better alternatives like #codeberg or #gitea
I instantly give respect when I see a #foss project is hosted on a foss friendly forge.
You can even link your codeberg or whatever page in your github and even create placeholder repos or mirrors in your github that points to them, so you get more visibility.

My tool/language learning priorities right now:

I only have 16 apps installed, and it takes 16.5GB of space.
That is more than 1GB per app. Note that many of these apps are very lightweight apps.
I use #flatpak because I am on #arch and I don't want to update my non-critical apps everytime I run pacman -Syu
. And they come even more handy on other distros that don't have as many packages as arch.
But the size of flatpaks and their runtimes is simply bonkers.
If we could somehow reduce the size to at least half or a third it would be amazing.

Guys I need #selfhosting advice.
I need to access the intranet and services in my office network from anywhere (for remote work and administration, etc.)
Currently I have #wireguard setup, and I give a config file to each team member. (One major problem is that config files dont have password and anyone who gets access to the config, gets access to my network).
I have heard a lot about #tailscale and #headscale but I don't understand what they do and how are they better?

"What's the difference between an 8-bit image and 16-bit image?"
We have all heard of "sample rate", "bit rate", "bit depth", but we may not know what they exactly are.
In this post I've written some notes and my perspective as a software engineer, for understanding these concepts more easily and from a different view.
I hope it's helpful. please give me your feedback and reviews.

I think if #vscode wasn't written with electron and was native, and had something similiar to vim-idea (the #vim plugin for jetbrains stuff) it would be way more popular even among us nerds and I wouldn't bother messing with #neovim or vim.

Guys I'm gonna be honest.
Sometimes I feel like configuring LSPs and formatters and linters and tools etc. For my #neovim is too much hassle and not worth it.
I use lsp-zero and mason but even still It needs too much resesearch and manual config.

I wrote this short blog post on how to use SSR + Easyeffects to record your conference calls and meetings, or even gaming sessions easily and with lightweight software.
I had issues with not being able to record both my voice and the sounds coming from my system with SSR.
Feedback will be much appreciated :)
