...aaand just experienced my first paper rejection (accept, weak reject, reject). I won't lie, it does sting, but on the other hand I am really happy about the thoroughness of the reviews. One of the reviewers picked up on an important subtlety we hadn't noticed, and also told us how to fix it!
After some of the horror-stories I've heard here, I was expecting the reviews to be unreasonably opinionated and fussy, but this was not my experience.

Just had my first experience writing (well, co-authoring) a paper, now submitted to Certified Programs and Proofs (CPP)! Though, I'm sure I will keep updating it right up until the actual deadline; wow, I did not anticipate how painful editing would be...
