I find it annoying and fascinating how the US corporate media is dedicated to covering Trump like he’s a “regular” US president. They’re like “wow, Trump’s tariffs are part of his economic agenda, it’s a strong gamble”

Like… What? This isn’t like cutting taxes or something. Trump doesn’t care about economics or sociology or whatever. Trump only cares about extracting concessions for himself. That’s not an economic policy.

Trump is doing it because he thinks it’ll work out for him.

It is absurd that the US media are just normalising his flights of fancy and his attempts at Americana-fascism as part of some ideologically planned strategy.

The US media will probably say shit like, “Trump’s camps in Seattle South might have a negative impact on the economy” without interrogating why there are even death camps in the first place

Hello friends, my mom wants to commit copyright violations by downloading YouTube videos as MP3s (to burn onto a CD for her car).

Is there a simple tool (on Windows) that can take a whole bunch of YouTube URLs and then batch convert them to MP3, without giving my mother’s aging laptop a virus?

When I say simple, I mean that it’s something I can teach her and she can do it herself whenever she needs to without me being there.
