We had a most wonderful first meetup of the year this Thursday at Taiste. The talks and hallway discussions were so captivating that we forgot to toot about it.

Ilkka Vuorio opened the night by talking about Jupyter and Marimo notebooks and how to deal with them better when using git for version control.

@jpakkane introduced us to Meson build tool and CapyPDF generator he has built.

FInally, @hugovk brought us the newest updates from the Python ecosystem.

It was a wonderful evening, thanks to everyone who joined.

Our next event is Thu 13.2., more info later.

The talks are the most visible part of the meetup program. Often the best bits happen outside the official program though: in discussions before, between and after the talks.

We run these meetups to share knowledge about Python but even more so to bring people together to meet each other.

We encourage everyone (to the level they feel comfortable of course) to participate in the hallway track and talk with new people.

We have made so many life-long friends from meetups and we want to make that possible to everyone.
