Really enjoyed the drama unfolding this week with vast numbers of people from America and China communicating directly for the first time on the Xiaohongshu app (Red Note).

It feels like the epilogue from a dystopian sci-fi book series. But I think we know this is just the beginning of the next trilogy :)

I have a customised Openbox/Tint2-based window manager setup on my Debian workstation. For a long time, I've been using GIMP to take screenshots the long way around.

Decided to get with the modern world and install a proper screenshot tool - Flameshot. It's quite nice really.

Is there a version of sleep (GNUI coreutils) that shows a countdown? I often do things like sleep 6h && do_a_thing and it would be nice to see how long is left.
