What are my options if I want to make #electronics projects at home, often using tiny microcontrollers, sensitive sensors etc, but I don't want to deal with lots of hazardous chemicals or to order PCBs from aboard?
Has someone figured out how to design and assemble tiny 3D circuits, optimized for manufacture at small quantities? The idea has fascinated me for a long time.

Mystery solved!
I finally found a bunch of UNMOUNTED subvolumes I had totally forgotten. One was a puzzling snapshot that contained the data I had tried to delete in the first place. That's why deleting the other copies didn't free up space at all.
But the craziest thing is that the hidden subvolumes contained a whopping 750GiB (!!!) of data that is probably safe to delete. That's almost half of my whole drive. No wonder space was tight.
WTF, past me? 🤯
Anyhow, compsize -x <list of all subvolumes>
and btrfs subvolume list /
were really useful in figuring this out!

Weird. I suspect #btrfs lost ~100GB of disk space. 😕??
Free space was getting low so I deleted a huge pile of least important stuff. But it didn't affect df at all. Deleted all snapshots that could have had that data. No change in df... I gave it some time to sort things out. Nothing.
I finally managed to free up a little bit of space by deleting some other things, but the ~100GB seems lost.

=> total
After changing which CSV file to load:
Package management (5/5): 5.8s
Evaluating cells (16/16): 423ms
And that's single change is also enough for Pluto to recommend to restart the notebook, i.e. to wait another 50s.

Ok, I'm learning some #Julia and I have found the first thing that objectively sucks: every time I reopen a Pluto notebook, it will recompile and rerun all cells or something. It also has regularly suggested that I should restart the notebook. I haven't written anything computationally demanding yet, just trying out some basic libraries, but I have to wait almost a minute before I can do anything.
Every single time.

I like to do math, small prototypes and other experimenting with Python in Jupyter notebooks. NumPy, SciPy, SymPy and Matplotlib have been very handy.
But recently Python was too slow for what I was doing and I had trouble juggling Numpy arrays as usual (which is required for speed). I know some #Rust so I decided to give #evcxr a go because it has a Jupyter kernel. And omg, I wasn't disappointed! It was mindbogglingly fast compared to what I'm used to and it also made the hard part of my code way easier to get right.
However, I only needed math functions provided by std this time. Now I'm trying to figure out if there are science Rust libs that are convenient enough to replace most Python in my notebooks. I know it's a fragmented space, but maybe one could already gather a comprehensive collection of crates manually.
Any recommendations?

Liika Pythonilla koodaaminen on pehmittänyt mun aivot. Nimittäin ihan hämmästyin miten yksinkertaista ja helppoa oli Rustilla toistaa audiodataa äänilaitteella ja tallentaa vielä levylle wav-formaatissa. Jotenkin sitä odotti, että pitäisi olla yhteensopivia tietorakenteita tms.
Mutta ei, jutut vain lapioidaan luku kerrallaan paikoilleen.
Vähän sama kuin muukin taulukoiden ja vektorien kanssa pelaaminen: for-silmukat on tosi helppoja siihen verrattuna, että pyörittelee jotain hiton dimensioita.
