Ooh, just pushed the #Facebook delete button. It's the right thing to do.

Let’s pretend I’m building a plane. I order two wings, but I’m told I can’t buy wings. But I can have three bananas for twice the price.

That’s essentially my last day-and-a-half.

After #snowboarding for a week, I'm stuck with a feeling of continually moving, despite being sat back down in this chair.

Awesome time in the Ziller Valley. #Zillertal

Just posted the first new blathering to my blog in... well, it's three years really. And it's about posting new blatherings to my blog, so it's sure to garner interest and, probably, awards.

I didn't end up using all of those online services I'd been investigating. But I'll not spoil the surprise. Visit my more-than-decade-old blurg to find out for yourself! You'll not believe this one trick...

Hey @BBCRD, any chance of an update as to how this Mastodon experiment is going? Your server is out of date and has barely any content, and your staff are appearing on Bluesky. It feels like this could be a huge missed opportunity to roll out a platform not subject to the commercial aims of a third party. #BBC #Mastodon

After some late-night reading, I’m beginning to lean towards @writefreely. In fact, I’m giving their hosted version, @write_as, a whirl. I’m liking the vibe over there.

Maybe I need something more like a lovely Markdown editor and then integrate that with Hugo or similar, though I have no idea how to deal with images going that route.

I did find Quotion, which turns Apple Notes entries into pages. While that’d be awesome, I’m not taken with it being entirely reliant on a cloud service I don’t own. Close, though.

Can anybody recommend a CMS with a nice writing interface?

I’ve used (and loved) Textpattern for many years, but I just don’t get along with Textile and the editing pane any longer.

I’d like something more WYSIWYG with drag-and-drop (or copy-paste) image processing. I quite like the little editor in Discourse, but deploying a whole forum for a teeny blog is overkill.

Even some means of publishing from a Notes-like app on macOS would be interesting.

For any UK fridge riders on here, Poma 2 at #ChillFactore will be back in action next week, probably from Tuesday. #snowboarding

Still loving the #FlipSlide! Thanks to @snazzyq’s suggestion last Christmas. Hope there’s a new list on the horizon… 😁

If this comes through, the #Mastodon v4.3.0 update went okay. 😆

Ah, the classic back-three-toe-edge-catch-face-smash. It’s a classic #snowboarding trick that’s very refreshing for the rider, so long as your nose stays on. 🤣

That’s the most fun I’ve had #snowboarding for ages. I’m no park rat these days (though I love a kicker) so moguls, rollers, walls and stuff to spin off are perfect. Legs could have done another couple of hours!

Did @atpfm notice… there’s a “Sync Now” button (well, text) in the Photos app on iOS 18? 🤯

Yikes, turns out folks who are half my age and ride four times as often really will progress quickly on the park. 😅 #snowboarding

Deployed a #matrix-synapse instance for fun the other night. Killed it this morning. Though setup and reverse proxying was pretty easy, joining a group brought the server to its knees, and I can't be naffed self-hosting that when #Snikket exists and works so well.

Wish there were an XMPP client as polished as Conversations for iOS and macOS, mind.
