Is it my imagination that #Mastodon has a significant proportion of posters who aren't open to discussion? Sometimes it feels like an OP will serve a comment, but if you treat it as a discussion and return the ball they'll hit it wildly back, then walk off the court.

Why do so many small, often local, organisations make it so difficult to just look at their websites and see what they are offering?!
