I had better spaces to varnish my work when I was a student. 😅

This is Pumpkin, the mother of five of our silly little family of cats. Pumkin was 6 months old when she had kittens in our shed, she is three and a half now. She let us know she was going to have kittens by climbing our screen and screaming.

This isn't an angry face it's her happy snuggly face

I took a big step a while back, and started sketching with my watercolors. There's a fair bit of pencil in the last one, but I have been working on using the brush for my sketching. When I'm brave I start with the brush like the bluejay but sometimes I find comfort in my pencil...

We have suffered from this primal belief that darkness holds nothing but evil. Everything is hidden, but then nothing is clear in the light either. Some shine, yet treat the world with brutality and judgment. All they truly bring with godly words is the opposite of god...

Sometimes darkness is self-defense, sometimes it is ignorance, sometimes it is simply something we don't have a frame of reference to understand.

Good things happen at night too.

Good evening all, nothing new just yet, there has been a lot of down time for me lately. I received an amazing gift from my wife Bodhi today that means I need to paint. I got a 9×12 Arches watercolor block.

Hopefully I will have the stamina to plien air a bit...

We have had this little family of opossums living in our dilapidated back house. This is mama. She had babies last spring and four of the babies stayed with mom and dad. Currently I am trying to figure out how to relocate them before mating season, but for now she and her family have been very polite. I accidentally picked this one up a while back when she had curled up in a bag of old pillows. Left some grapes out last night and came outside to this face, asking for more grapes...
