The program of the Digital Ancient Near Eastern Studies (#DANES, free and online) is out: https://digitalpasts.github.io/DANES2024/#program ... Avital Romach & Piotr Zadworny did a really great job . The big surprise was the international interest so we have speakers from all over the world. Also the variety of topics is wide from digital methods in archaeology to Ancient Lang Proc (ALP). We also got an outside view by @Christianvater about Peter Damerow (✝) nvolved in early digital methods for #cuneiform studies.

An meiner alten Alma Mater gibt es die Chance in Forschung und Lehre zur Digitalen Kulturerbe-Forschung im Umfeld des #Heidelberg Center for Cultural Heritage (#HCCH) einzusteigen (W1). Auch wenn leider kein Tenure Track angeboten wird ist das eine gute Chance um den nächsten Schritt in einem tollen Umfeld zu machen.

Gestern war Strategietreffen von 3D4Vases in Karlsruhe das einige der Ideen zu 3D aus dem CVA Österreich aufgreift und mich daher besonders freut. Interessanterweise wurde es auch zu einem Treffen bei dem @nfdi4objects und @nfdi4culture stark & inklusive deren Sprecher vertreten waren. Dank an S. Erbelding und J. Bernhardt für die Einladung zur Veranstaltung die im positiven Sinne auch etwas über das Ziel hinaus geschossen ist umgeben von einer interessante Sonderausstellung des Museums am Markt
