I think (one of) the next evolution for web frameworks is owning more parts of them. Vite is really nice and helps a lot, but it's quite easy to end up doing things twice because you can't really fit them in Vite's model always

Windows isn't so bad for development once you install WSL, change the default terminal, change the default shell, configure your editor for WSL, workaround the numerous issues related to WSL in your dependencies, make the maintainers of all the projects you're using hate you because you're using WSL, make sure you're using your programs actually in WSL and not hybrid, use a 4K monitor so the font is readable, use a random script on GitHub to remove weird things Microsoft has added over the years, install a package manager to install your programs and SSH to a Linux machine to work
