I think this tells you what you need to know about Mark Carney.
He’ll readily jettison technocratic solutions and his economic skillset to win an election. Such a letdown.

I think you guys would be surprised too.
I turns out that #Columbia is really into #UnderwaterRugby and are the core of the clubs in #Montreal and #Toronto

2/2: Those Chinese subsidiaries often bought out the foreign investor or started their own operations and became giant industry leaders.
All these battery and car factories have blown another opportunity to escape this pattern of getting dazzled by an industry and paying them to give us some jobs and a building for a photo-op.

1/2: When I started a business in China I had to partner with a Chinese company who was legally required to own at least 50% of the shares.
This is a policy the federal government should use when approaching industrial policy. Subsidies generally aren’t good, but if we’re going to use them at least only apply them to majority Canadian owned companies.

Went to #UnderwaterRugby practice in #Montreal last night and had a blast. Would never have guessed that almost the entire club was made up of people from (don’t google!)…

This is what it’s like posting a video about congestion charges on #meta. Where “for engagement” my technocratic urbanist videos gets shoved in the faces of people who will be upset enough to react.
There is no reason at all that my channel’s content is what these people want to see. Sentiment analysis could easy show it’s upsetting to people with an F350 as a profile picture.
Meta has created a personalized window to view a terrible declining world for billions.

Did this video walking backwards through time square filming with a camera in each hand over the holiday shopping period.
Sam @ReturnSuite and #CalebParker let me run with this unorthodox idea instead of doing a traditional sit down podcast which was nice.
Sam's one of my favourite people in the world so if you have a commercial property and want to see what it's worth get in while #ReturnSuite is free and in beta.

Two weeks of doing #ballet and it's already pretty sure I'm a girl.
Does all our time learning about beer brewing and moustache wax together mean nothing YouTube!?!

Most appointments at Canadian banks are half an hour silently watching someone do paperwork after giving them information they already have.

But, they've just gradually become Quickbooks and Sage. An unavoidable $200 a year because they either cut the affordable/free version or made it just annoying enough that upgrading is needed.
Freelancers used to be able to build their business for the first year without the expensive, now you're basically paying from day 1.

A case of #enshittification that I find annoying is bookkeeping and accounting programs.
[#]Freshbooks #Xero and #Wave used to be affordable and fully featured until your business grew beyond a few clients.
Seemed like a fair deal for freelancers where you would pay them once you became a "real business".

I changed the password on my #amazon account to lock myself out of it about 6 months back and haven't looked back.
You spend less money, I would guess 25% of the stuff I was getting on Amazon was at my local dollarama for half the price.
It's also nice to get out of the house to buy stuff.
...Also, they hate #Montreal and #Quebec values.
