I made a big life decision based on a gut instinct I knew was right and hoo boy do I immediately regret everything.
Whatever, worst case is I've sabotaged myself and am finally forced to find a better job. Best case I move up the career ladder and then get a better job.
I've regretted it so hard the last two weeks that I haven't had the heart to bitch about it on mastodon.

The best thing about Linux is that the power management system is so advanced that you can put your computer to sleep in the middle of a shutdown operation so you can more quickly resume your shutdown later!
I personally adore this attention to detail when I press the "shutdown now" button and my computer says "shutting down now" and then when I close the lid it just saves my progress for later!
Modern technology really is incredible
