Some train line numbers like exist multiple times in Germany. Example: RE4 is Stendal - Berlin Falkenberg by DB regio and RE4 is Aachen - Düsseldorf - Dortmund by NationalExpress/RRX. This happens for many RB and RE line numbers.
A question for which I want to know the answer: Is there any (train) line number that exists twice within one Bundesland with different operators? Or can I build a simple logic table 'RE line x in Bundesland y is operator z'?

In Oberhausen my ICE overtook a freight train from DB Cargo with loco 189 090. Now in Dortmund my next ICE is also overtaking this freight train from DB cargo with loco 189 090.
Conclusion: the fastest trains are freight trains.

So this is not track 11/12, it is track 4/5, but people want to go to track 6 where all ICE trains are planned. What's this stupid signage not visibly indicating track 6?

I said "strictly on time" which meant arriving early in Aachen, departing 2 minutes late, then arriving early in Liège and departing on time. They really don't want to let us reach Brussels earlier than the schedule states. With reduced stop lengths (instead of >20 min and >10 min) we could have run 40 minutes early by now.

New year's resolution: go more often by train, get less delay.
So far so good: from 40 minutes late in 2024 to strictly on time in 2025😎

This whole day exists of snow and trains. Again it is untrue that all trains in Switzerland run punctual, but the transfer in Disentis succeeded because :rhb: waited for us
