How's it with estrogen?

If you, hypothetically, took the extremely potent Ethinylestradiol birth control pills (Yaz/Diane) - or (in my case) are well above the typically aimed for 200pg/ml (@ lowest point) with monotherapy...

does lowering your dose immediately lower your blood clot risk, or is it also a cumulative risk that stays even after lowering dose?
