This follow-up post describes our plans to coordinate community effort around curriculum updates/development around this topic. It includes a summary of plans to add new content to existing Data Carpentry, Library Carpentry, and Software Carpentry lessons and to coordinate between developers of lessons on AI-related topics in The Carpentries Incubator.

Find out more about these plans and reach out to us if you have any questions or suggestions: https://carpentries.org/blog/2025/01/teaching-llms-next-steps/

In our latest blog post, we announce that any lesson repositories still using "styles" in The Carpentries Incubator after the end of this year, 31 December 2025, will be archived.

In May 2023, the Workbench replaced our previous lesson infrastructure, a Jekyll-based template affectionately known as "styles." The Carpentries team stopped maintaining the styles infrastructure and helped community members to migrate their own lesson projects in The Carpentries Incubator to use the Workbench.

Read more about this ongoing lessons transition here: https://www.carpentries.org/blog/2025/01/sunsetting-styles-support-incubator/
