Would you ever hide your politics to avoid alienating some readers?
Nope. I figure if folks don't like the way I think about the world, they aren't going to like my books, either. My characters are inclusive, feminist, and stand up for rights of all. So yeah, I don't hide.

Hey, I started something and even made a graphic to let you know what you're in for. Things are changing. Speaking of change, or rather, reversion, I'm going back to blogging. Come check it out and stop by. Change is coming and I'm here for it. #Blogging #Romance #HumanInteraction

[#]WritersCoffeeClub Dec 13: Which novel to TV or movie adaptation was the most disappointing and why?
Oh, man, I'd rather talk about the ones that actually did a good job because there are so few of them. The Hunt for Red October was the best movie adaptation because it captures the intensity of the book and yet doesn't overwhelm with technical details.

[#]WritersCoffeeClub #Writing Dec 02 From all your work, who's your favorite character?
Okay, now you're asking me to choose which one I love best? Nope, not gonna do it. However, I love moments in each of my characters' lives. Like when Julianna Morris clobbers the Alpha of her Pack before she knew either of them were werewolves. She gives him 'what-for' and he learned she wasn't to be trifled with.

Some recent art on my wall. The two carvings are from Fauno Faerie Woodcraft, and the photos are a maple in Walnut Canyon, AZ and Grandfather Sentinel, Tetons, WY, respectively. I love the Kelpie/Unicorn Yin Yang and the Vulpes Luna fox. They make my imagination soar. #PhysicalArt

[#]WritersCoffeeClub 11/11/2024 How many times do you usually edit?
I usually write the story, then I go and do self edits, going through and tightening up the wording, adding any details I've forgotten. Then I send it to an editor to make sure it makes sense. After that, I fix her suggestions, maybe add a little more tightening and details, give it to the proof reader, correct those typos, and put it up for publication.

[#]WritersCoffeeClub Oct 24 Do you criticize other writers? Who and in what way?
Not unless I'm in a critique group and they're asking for help. Just because they write differently from me doesn't mean they're bad writers, they're just not my cuppa. If I don't like something, I just don't read from the author again.

[#]WritersCoffeeClub Day 21: If you write adult fiction, would you consider children's stories and vice versa? Do you write both? How's it going?
Nope. I know a lot of romance authors who do, but I'm not one of them. There are many talented writers who do kids' books and I salute them. But I'm more interested in how to fix problems when people are messed up as adults (probably from childhood trauma) and get their happily ever after.

[#]WritersCoffeeClub October 10th: How do you research and plan your stories?
I don't really plan - I listen to the voices in my head and write down their incident reports, and THEN research the situations and professions the characters find themselves in. Most of the time my tales are "what if" questions and then I fill in the blanks and research what I need based on where they are, when they are, and what they do.

I finished my latest cross-stitch project. I think it turned out adorable despite changing just about all the colors in the original pattern. Found another Halloween design I'm going to try before I get into the more complex patterns.

[#]WritersCoffeeClub 10/9 What motivates you to keep going when sales are low?
The market is unpredictable and sales will come and go. I've found I can't NOT write. The stories will keep coming whether people buy the older books or not. Write because you love it. The market will catch up with you again and the sales will come.

[#]WritersCoffeeClub #Writing 02 Trauma? Can you write a traumatic, disturbing scene?
I can. I have, but it's not been published because it was too disturbing to the critique group and they suggested I change it dramatically. I still haven't fixed or published it and I might never.

[#]WritersCoffeeClub 11. Do you write old-school or digital? A mix?
When I journal, I write long-hand. When I write tales, it's always via keyboard because I can type as fast as I think and I compose a lot better with the keyboard at hand.
