Friends and followers at #AoIR2024 come check out our presentation tomorrow on the robots exclusion protocol! Tomorrow (Friday) at 11am. Sad that I won't be there in person, but Katie's going to present our paper about how the protocol has become tied to ideas of consent in web data collection in AI and #webarchiving #webarchives

Hello AoIR! I'm Emily, an Asst Prof @ University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's School of Information Sciences. I study how libraries and archives are capturing and preserving collections of websites and how they support researchers studying the web's history. I also look at related topics like dataset documentation, archival theory + digital research methods.

I'm relatively new to the Midwest 🌽 originally from Toronto 🇨🇦

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Philly!
