Spotify just recommended an artist called "I Don't Like Mirrors" to me. On the strength of that name alone I listened to a track & it sounds like it's been recorded on a tape recorder pulled from a skip in 1974.

Apparently this stuff's called Slowcore which seems to be bands playing plodding no-fi guitar rock recorded on a potato with sad boy lyrics & guitars where they're hitting 2 strings that have a passing acquaintance with the concept of being in tune with each other.

So there's a bloke from the water company outside. He's walked down the pavement with a metal detector and now he's got some dowsing rods and is wandering around with these things swinging about.

Does dowsing actually work? Is it really a thing? I thought it was like horoscopes and crystal healing.
