From today's work in the sun.
Splashes of colour, mixed flowers in an amenity and polinator bed.
Had the first apple of the season today. Delicious.
Farmer Doom Kitty always at my side for a break in the shade.
The current strip, a bit green from recent rains. Winds had it covered with bark and sticks so cleaned up. Don't tell my docs but I tossed and few overs in spite of pain and movement limitations. If I'm breathing, I'm bowling. RESIST!

IF you purchased/donated/tier subscribed at a fair premium for a new release from an INDIE artist this year, what format do you use?
Is physical media "fun" or legit nice for being offline or afk?
Vinyl and shipping in general is practically class warfare.
Sure streaming AND physical trash are all killing the planet but how to get artists lunch on the way down?
Are you much happier to maximise artist support and take the digital and save them the hassle/costs?

It's that kind of a feed today I was motivated to just take resistance garden pics on morning chores.
Caught a lemon flower in a beam of sun.
One of the greenhouses getting wildly green.
Had raspberry overtake the latest raised bed of a previous years asparagus seed starts. Already ate from an established bed. Exposed these guys to find they were delayed by competition but healthy as!
Humble and hardy radish sprouts. Be mighty like radish!

The only blue sky I want in my feed is as a backdrop to these here fine quince.

Didn't get much sleep last night. Greenhouse temp got down to around 5. Outside was waffling around 2! Flashbacks to some of last years 6 summer frosts that wiped out heaps and set us back so much. Not today happily.
Orchards and young field crops fine and was another sunny day pushing 40 in greenhouse. Wild.
Enjoy some early raspberries under and around figs in the greenhouse before things like tomatoes and cucumbers dominate the airspace.

From my rounds of the grounds yesterday. I wouldn't call it sage advice but I do advise sage even if in a pot in a small space. For serious even green varieties have many health and of course culinary uses, are bee friendly and I reckon handsome as! Being an awesome perenial I've lost track, probably over 100 transplants started from seed around are the place and have made lovely rows and clusters amongst other crops and trees.

I often see really cool book recommendations here in the feed. Problem is many times they are bit too new, or uh "radical" to be on my reluctant but handy digital public library platform.
I'm not a very able or time rich reader. But for myself and others who maybe cannot afford physical media much less shipping I'd love to hear some good lists of places ya'll obtain DRM free non-fiction writing AND audio books, hopefully directly supporting not ripping off authors.

Reclaiming some space for myself. I have zero faith or interest or health for putting more work into "the fedi". That's sad for comrades but a hearty fuck you to selfish sponges, weasels and narrative hijackers who bully spaces. Two years of having little to absolute zero desire for fun with friends or any creative space has been bullshit.
If I'm vertical, expect more likes, fruit and soil pics, more klf drops than you can shake a stick at, and thinly to not at all veiled jamming against bros.
