Thank you to the legendary Mike Watt for having me as a guest on The Watt From Pedro Show. It was an incredible experience to be able to have a conversation with one of my biggest musical heroes:

Listening party tonight at 8:00pm EST

If you've ever wanted to tell me, in real time, that I overuse reverse delay, rely too heavily on augmented 4ths, and ask me if I will ever again allow myself to play anything in meter, this is a perfect opportunity. Or just come hang out with us and quietly listen to the full album before release day. Up to you.

Since there’s never a bad time to express gratitude (and this feels like it might be a particularly good time for it), I’d just like to say that I appreciate you wonderful people of the fediverse. You make my life better. Thank you.

Excerpt from last night's livestream. Please pardon the packet loss sounds from my comically unreliable Wi-Fi.

@limebar Enjoyed Rephemera this afternoon and left a comment on BC. Well done! Wonderful selection/usage of samples, and excellent production that brought them to the forefront of the tracks.

Last night’s livestream. I usually play nylon string guitars when streaming, but this is the first appearance of the Fender CP-60, a budget friendly parlor guitar. Like most smaller body guitars, it sounds best when finger-picked or strummed softly. Here (and almost always these days) I’m holding my pick upside down because the rounded side creates a more thumb-like tone.

Top of Bandcamp’s electro-acoustic “charts” today, because I occasionally run a nylon string guitar through a milk-crate full of reverb pedals.

I’ve had this album for years and love it. Tonight I figured I would see who played on it because it’s in my music library as just “Inversion” without the names of the contributors. And wouldn’t you know, one of them is the great @brianlavelle

I imagine in 30 years people will look back fondly on packet loss, like they do now with analogue tape hiss.

Last night’s 40-minute livestream, in full. Please pardon the dropout noises from my awful Wi-Fi (or pretend they’re avant garde adornments). #guitar #acoustic
