We were so focused on hospitality and making tea at #38C3 that we kinda forgot to ask for financial support... Only 2 donation boxes were scattered in corners of the House of Tea. 😞

Rules, enforcement, and hierarchies that come with them are usually not very well appreciated at the House of Tea.🫖

Yet, some usages and traditions get transmitted.

For those reasons, we actively try not to saturate the space with signage, and for the signage not to give orders or injunctions to people, to tell them what to do.

One exception is maybe "NO SHOE ZONE" ⛔👟

Already more than 400€ donated so far! 3-400€ more and we will be within our budget this year!! ✊

Our main investments so far were:

• 600€ of gorgeous (probably hand made) Chinese tea cups. A solid investment for years to come! Come and see/use them! 🍵

• almost 200€ of delicious tea, of all sorts, including herbal infusions. This is a very short-term infusion, as we expect it to go fast!. 🍃

Oh but by all means: do not hesitate to bring your favourite tea leaves to share with everyone!

We all love to discover new things, plus, it's quite unsure if our stock will last that long...

Also feel free to bring your special equipment (matcha set, pots, etc.) to host and share tea the way you like it! Consider our infrastructure (water boilers, thermos, cups, etc.) is yours! <3

In different languages, "tea" either stricly means the leaves of Camellia sinensis, or more generally plants infused in water.

At the House of Tea we love all tea! It is great to be providing in a place like #38C3, where hydration matters, and where people sometimes tend to drink only sugary or alcoholic beverages!

Non-caffeinated "tea", aka "herbal tea" or infusions, are very dear to us, as they are tasty and provide comfort at any time of day or night!
