I had severe stomach pain & indigestion last night, to the point of keeping me up late 'til something like 4 in the morning.

I think these are the culprit: 🌶️🥨

In my advanced #GenX age, I now have a glitchy stomach and esophagus, so I must limit my spicy foods.

These are lightly spicy, which kinda sneaks up on me. Plus they are irresistibly F'n delicious to my lizard brain. 🦎🧠 If I'm not careful, I will eat until pain.

Also related: they are tasty this morning, too.

I woke up hopeful and safe.

I guess because I always viewed Star Trek as the post-capitalism society that I always hoped for. People work if they want to and most enjoy. Medicine is plentiful and is a basic right. Education is freely available. Can you imagine a world without want?

So I had the most weird and geeky and wonderful dream. I looked up from my yard and saw some Star Trek-like ships battling in the sky, and a shed-sized hunk of debris landed in my yard.

The crew beamed down and said they would take care of it, and were very nice about it. Unfortunately, since they were from the future, they would need to erase my memory.

However, I quickly jotted down some notes and hid it in my cereal box so that I would remember and tell you right now!

At our annual #HoosierSocial virtual party, someone mentioned that #Mastodon is the #PBS (public broadcasting) of the #SocialMedia world, and that idea just stuck in my brain. We are a bunch of independent groups, working together on a non-profit social media. There are blessings and curses with the not-for-profit model, but mostly blessings.

I love the analogy and it's been taking up my head space ever since. I'm wondering if there's any way we can expand on that paradigm?

My dear daughter's boyfriend proposed to her on Friday, and she said yes. He's super awesome in so many wonderful ways. The seem to really work well together. Now I've got all the warm feels.

Last night there was a dramatic reading of my latest short play. It's holiday-themed and a shortie - only 3 minutes.
