spent so much time second guessing its domain, when the best one was right under its muzzle :sqrk:
regardless, did y'all know the dot TF domain is available on INWX . com, Netim . com, & OnlyDomains . com. unfamiliar with any of these sites, so proceed with caution :neofox_laptop:

this setup is working so far :ms_exclamation_mark_gray: initial silvergreen bryum chunk left to dry for a couple months turned brown, then grew fuzzy grey mold, and lastly started growing anew :ms_exclamation_mark_red: 🌱 or, at least, something is growing...
4x magnification, through the glass, so it's the best i could take

neglected piece of tree bark, gathered months ago, had some tiny moss growing on it 🌱 :neofox_mug_owo: it got upsetti & pulled its leaves in after spritzing with water. :neofox_sad:
and another, more recently collected, had baby snails.
4x magnification

some light online searches tell these hair-like strands on the moss could be rhizoids (aerial root equivalent) or a fungus/mold that grows from dead parts of the moss...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN :ms_jack_o_lantern: all terrariums completed :ms_jack_o_lantern: :ms_exclamation_exclamation: :orange_balloon_heart:
the large one with the leafy begonia is my magnum opus at somewhere <2 gallon volume. medium jar with the massive lichen is at maybe a half gallon. small one is for the scraps if they resuscitate.
all flora will be edited in at a later date. 🌱 springtails coming soon. am tired, need rest. :neofox_snug:

"it has to pillow before it can crawl"
has got to be the cutest way to describe how moss grows, that i've read. :fur_yeah:

the suspected moss spore growing right on the sporophyte has become white-ish due to possible lack of moisture in the air.
if its continued growth still seems plausible later on, may cut the sporophyte down near the base and tuck it into another healthy cloud of moss to get better humidity.
