[#]DecemberAdventure 10: today! played around with prime factors (slipping around the edges of the #rewriting rabbit hole) excited to see what else there is to explore now that I know some algorithms to find them :D

on my off-days I've still been doing lovely creative things, sometimes with my computer, it's been a nice low-stakes adventure so far.

I’ve been quietly doing a #DecemberAdventure of a little poetic javascript every other day, preparing to run live coding workshops with kids in the new year :D just thought I'd recap what I've done so far as a little pat on the pack (thread)

@richardacarter It was a little bittersweet, as I'd been thinking about visiting the garden at each turn of the season but usually ended up forgetting, and by the time I remembered to visit it in 'Spring', it'd passed me by. It's already been too hot to move on some days here, which is pretty unprecedented for November.
Thanks so much for this lovely little reprieve, I look forward to when I next think to take a wander in the garden.

hey @richardacarter - I had a lovely wander through the haiku garden one morning recently.
green willow / in a field of dong quai / the snail seller.
This haiku (told to me by a cat) really stuck out to me, and I almost lost it! The moment I finished reading it my browser reloaded itself for no reason and I quickly scrawled the words down from memory. I illustrated this in response to that experience :]

I'm still mostly offline, trying to figure out how I’d like to use social media in a way that doesn’t make me mostly miserable.
When I am online I’m usually exploring the small web, trying to find my own ways to be social out there.

I’d like to share with you: ~yearn~ my first web poem. it’s sombre, dissonant and non-linear — lots of big thoughts in a few vulnerable words.

finished noodling (for now) on a tiny browser tool to dither images in two colours, forked from @eli_oat :] I added a few features like colour picking to make it extra cute.

this has been my first time writing javascript in a year, in a very ad-hoc way. I tried optimising it a bit but idk if it’s ‘good code’ so I’m open to feedback from anyone who cares about that sort of thing!

my small hand-made web-place has been secretly online for a little while but now I think it’s 'done enough’ to share! (just hid all the pages I'd been procrastinating working on…)
