Re: alt-text

I like the emphasis on fedi of adding alt-text to our pictures. Accessibility is very good and should be a bare minimum.

However I have no measure for how much detail should be in alt-text. Sure, its easy to understand that any text should be repeated but other than that how much description is the right amount? More is surely better but too much is probably a problem.

I think this is a result of people not really having thought about this for a good portion of our time on the internet.

Got a new ref sheet.

Over the last few months I've been feeling less attached to my purple and blue boy and felt like it was time for a change.

I was never entirely happy with the previous ref sheet but I am well and truly in love with this one. Vibrant, beautiful colours inspired by the Agama Agama lizard!

I've been sitting on this for about a month now as I am really shit at updating things.

I often find when retro time comes about that while I have things I want to say they often feel like they are attacks on specific people so I avoid contributing them as I can't find a way to phrase them in a constructive manner.

For instance, there's a tendency amongst some people at my work to open a dozen interconnected PRs and leave them open for 3 weeks at a time.

This makes it difficult to follow how the PRs are related and adds noise to the review request list.

But despite this being irritating to me, I don't know how to address it in a constructive manner so I just let it slide.

I don't know what the point of this is I just wanted to vent a frustration to the wind.
