listen people who write things, unless you're a paleontologist writing about the current times or a historian who is making an exception, stop using "In today’s fast-changing world" and all relatives. what other time period are you an expert on anyway? what other time period do you think any conversation applies to? it's all about today. stoppit. use less words. kill the throatclearning.

fantasies sit on an over-fitted curve, all twists and turns, not all congruent or related but still feel like the best version. reality is closer to the linear regression line. i bring this up because it would be gauche not to try and compress the complex and hazy business of existence into poorly understood and reductive mathematical terms.
