I have never been happy that I had to "chat with" an "AI" bot.

"Okay, so what prompt do I have to give this thing to trick it into bringing in a real human I can chat with?"

Is there any good reason to stay on GitHub these days? Probably just going to move my open source and private repos to Codeberg. Not interested in the Copilot nonsense with no way to opt out.

If you were importing an interface and an implementation (class) from a third-party library, and they represent a command line, what would you prefer they are named?

Please stop making bad HTML forms. I know you really want to. Stop. I know you want to add really strict name validation. Stop. I know you want to add really strict email validation. Stop. Stop breaking HTML forms. I know you want to be clever. Stop. Stop making really bad HTML forms. Stop. Just let the browser do what it wants to do. Use proper input types. Do some lightweight sensible validation. Then validate server-side. Stop making really bad HTML forms. Please. Stop.

PHP Composer package my-org/my-package compiles into ./dist/my-package/. Not checked into source.

Zip the contents of ./dist/my-package/ into ./dist/release/my-package-1.0.0.zip. not checked into source.

my-package lives in a private Bitbucket repository.

Consumer in a private Bitbucket repository will install my-org/my-package in a Bitbucket pipeline.

What are your best tips for making this happen?

Why the hell do people want to use "AI" to write commit messages? Are they that clueless about the code they just changed?

@GrapheneOS I'd like to use multiple user profiles, but I don't want to have to change all my settings in each one. Is there a way to copy settings from one user to another?

Is there a Mastodon server for software engineers? Not specifically only PHP engineers, and not only front end developers, and not only infosec people... just like... software engineers?

Re: Astro DB

Why do we need yet another ORM? That only supports SQLite? This just feels like purposeful vendor lockin and maintenance burden.
