I’m skipping the news for a bit. It’ll still be there. But I wanted to share a survival/resilience story. A year and one month ago, I bought a Christmas cactus while grocery shopping. It was completely dried out, but covered with buds. I brought it home, watered it, and the limp green became plump and solid. But all the buds fell off…🫢 Rather than pitch it, I put it in a sunny window for a year. No buds yet on 12/25, but the following week there were tiny bumps on the tips. And today:

A morning talk show host in the UK comments candidly and honestly on the rise of fascism in the US, and its reach via online platforms. He came to my attention through one of those platforms. YouTube decided that I might like the program.
An hour ago he frankly described a new order, indicated by inaugural seating. Yesterday’s segment is about the Nazi salute that, if you’re not sure what it was, try it at work.

Must watch video on TVP World with Polish journalist and others explaining russian threats and influence campaigns. Targeted long-game tactics to divide Polish people, so much like what the Kremlin operatives are doing elsewhere. Polish interview cites differences between the previous government and now.
