Interesting. So the way that the GG-CC karaoke is 'zero latency karaoke' is that
Person A sings and plays the music > Person B receives that stream, sings over it and streams to YT. Then person B uses another software to push-to-talk for speaking to Person A. Otherwise Person A will not be able to hear Person B at all.
So that's how it syncs multiple peoples' singing over all the internet.

The Nijisanji countdown, on the other hand, was pre-recorded and 'live' in Osaka and they spent a lot of effort getting shots of the real crowd. They also charged a lot per ticket to pay for the location :ng_hifumi_money: . The comment section got disabled after people started complaining.
Overall, it's a regular concert with the regular concert camera angles. They also have so many Livers that they could only include a small portion of them. I wanted to see the smol non-human Livers like Kuroi Shiba :ablobcatnodmeltcry:

Hololive's 2024-2025 countdown was free and fully virtual, with really high production value, and 12 (wow) watchalongs with holomems. The production value (camerawork and gimmicks) were the best they've ever done. They also did a lot of the tending songs of 2024.

The one thing #Hololive does to make their pre-recored 'live' (the meaning of 'live' is arguable nowadays) feel more realistic is that they try to use performances as-is. They probably had enough time to do more video trickery.
The 'money shot' in the performance of Holo Hawk for the 2024-2025 countdown, with this cool shot of all their left eyes opening was not perfectly in sync. They could've just re-timed it to have all eyes open together, but it'd lose that sense of 'live' authenticity.
