[#]nowplaying Genesis bootleg from the Lamb tour, live at the Shrine Auditorium in 1975. Includes a few Lamb tracks as well as Watcher of the Skies and The Musical Box. Side two also has the studio tracks “Happy The Man” and Twilight AleHouse”

I’m impressed with the quality of the live tracks. Whoever recorded this had a good spot in the theater. No drunk guys singing lyrics off-key!

Today's fun task was re-engineering a poorly made recirculating filter grille. The piece that came with the kit had a too-small center pilot hole. So I drew up a modified grille in Onsape, printed it on my Bambu, and voila! Like it's supposed to be.

Singles from this record were all over the radio when I was in high school. But my fondest memory is a regional acoustic guitarist Roy Atkinson playing this in downtown Troy when I was in college.

[#]nowplaying “Elvis Presley”

This is a rerelease from the mid 60s that is in “stereo”. The album copy claims RCA used a unique electronic process to convert mono recordings to stereo. To my ears, it sounds like they put the whole album through a chorus pedal!

[#]nowplaying Duran Duran “Seven and the Ragged Tiger”. Huge early 80s hits on this one: The Reflex, New Moon on Monday, The Union of the Snake. I remember all the going Jr High we’re drawing the double D logo on their notebooks. (The boys were all drawing the Van Halen logo)

[#]nowplaying Genesis “Abacab”

Back at the time of my first time living in the #Philadelphia area (c. 1990) I headed the song Abacab on WMMR in my car, all in the world felt right. My family left Pershing jobs not long afterwards, and I finally made my way to living in the city around 3 years ago.
