Oooooh, Unity7 is a current, maintained, up to date thing, and there are Ubuntu and Manjaro versions versions that come with it! (And something for Gentoo, which I know nothing about.) https://unityd.org/#distros

I'm considering reinstalling my Linux, for a fresh start without all the clutter I accumulated. Except.... I currently use Manjaro, and I was super happy with that for years, but I'm not sure rolling release is still right for me.

So I'm considering switching to something Debian-based and I'm unsure what.

Debian: my encounters with Debian on desktop were unnerving. I seem to dislike too many of the default choices.

Ubuntu: I never got over them dropping the Unity desktop.

Mint: I don't have anything against Mint...

Which Debian-based distro would you recommend?

Are there non-Debian distros I should be considering? (I'm willing to learn a new package manager, but any learning effort beyond that is currently too much.)

(I'm also undecided about the desktop environment, since I currently use i3 and love it, but probably want to go for something that doesn't need hours of configuration.

I'm not sure which ones I like, to be honest. I might have to try a few, and am open to suggestions!

Last time I had opinions, I disliked Gnome (looks yay, handling nay), liked Cinnamon ok, disliked Xfce, and thought Unity was pretty much perfect. I like using any Mac OS, and I think Windows 11 is less horrible to use than previous versions.)

So.... jetzt erzähl ich mal, was ich mir aus der #TintenReise raus genommen hab 😻

Ich hab soooo viele Tinten schön gefunden, und es ist mir fast ein bisschen peinlich, zuzugeben, wie sehr ich mich bedient habe! Aber das war ja auch explizit erlaubt, und aah, ich freu mich auf alle davon. Von meiner Tinten-Schmöker-Begleitung @minx hab ich mir bei der Gelegenheit auch eine Probe abfüllen lassen :dragnmlem: Und gemeinsam haben wir auch wieder gut nachgeschlichtet.

Also, ich hab mir wie zu erwarten viel Grün/Blau aus dem Paket genommen, aber auch ein bisschen Violett und sogar ein Braun:

Detaillierte Bilder von meinen Swatches gibt es nicht, weil ich da ganz schüchtern bin weil ich noch nicht meinen Stil gefunden hab 😊

Am allermeisten überrascht hat mich, wie gut KWZ Honey riecht 😻 nach.... Honig?

Sonst hab ich mich über Tees gefreut, und, oh, so einen äh FüllPinsel hab ich mir geschnappt, und noch einen Stift. Ganz besonders toll finde ich aber den Sticker mit dem Waschbären, der die Genderqueer-Fahne ziemlich sicher geklaut hat. :ms_raccoon:

Und das Bild musste ich jetzt erst mal neu arrangieren, um den Spoiler für eine Tinte von minx zu entfernen :koboldpats:

It will only be a small selection though, I am a bit of an emoji minimalist.
